'Kids film Dark: flute carved from a bone …?
Ok, this drive me crazy. There are two movies I saw as a child not remember that they are now. I remember very few details, but it still drives me crazy. Already posted a question the first and all I can remember the second is a carved bone flute. Someone found a bone and made a flute. I know it sounds weird but that's what I remember … I would be eternally grateful to anyone who knows what the hell I mean! THANK YOU!
Dear Sherience, the bone flute, as I recall, only comes from the George Pal production of Cinerama in 1962, "The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm. The flute is part of a three fairy tales, told in the film, titled "The Singing Bone." In the story, a knight and his servant loose a fierce dragon. While the gentleman cache, server, especially with luck and a few acts of bravery, kills the dragon. The gentleman, seeking glory, kill and bury the servant goes off and becomes famous. Years pass, and one day a young man found a leg bone of the skeleton of the maid and sinks into a flute. When he plays, the girl's voice sings the story of the betrayal of the knight. The boy took the bone flute song of the court, plays, and the truth is revealed, and errors straightened. Other fairy tales are based on the princess of dance, and the shoemaker and the elves. This film aired on television several times, if you get caught when played there. I hope it's good!
